The Charlotte Youth Ballet presents, The Nutcracker

The Charlotte Youth Ballet is pleased to announce 2009 The Nutcracker performers and performance schedule. This year’s Principal artists include Laura Valentín and José Rodríguez from the Balleteatro Nacional de Puerto Rico. Guest artists include Hardin Minor, Odemar Ocasio, Tommy Robbins and Omar Roman. Cast dancers are Charlotte areas dancers and Company dancers from the Charlotte Youth Ballet.

Both Laura and Jose were born and raised in Puerto Rico representing the Island and touring in a variety of Ballets, winning numerous awards, medals and recognition for their work. Laura’s performances include Coppelia, Carmen, In the Night, Giselle, Cinderella, Paso a Tres and Donde Estan. Jose performances include Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote, The Corsair, Phantom of the Opera, Carmen, Le Combat and Esmeralda. Laura, Jose, guest artists and Company dancers are thrilled to be part of this year’s event.

The Charlotte Youth Ballet 2009 The Nutcracker performances are Friday, December 4 through Sunday, December 6 at the Dale Halton Theater on CPCC's main campus. Parking is free.
